Joy Orbison – “Wade In”

Joy Orbison Wade In stream

Peter O’Grady sparked a frenzy amongst house/dubstep enthusiasts with “Hyph Mngo” in October 09, claimed by some as the best dubstep track of the year, and garnering the British producer wads of attention for him and label Hotflush Records. Since then, under the moniker Joy Orbison, he’s released tracks for his own Doldrums imprint like last year’s BB/Ladywell; now there is a radio rip of a new track from his upcoming Wade In/Jelssingle. A-side “Wade In” – where O’Grady refers to himself as Joy O, confirming the rumors of a name change, at least for now – finds him fabricating what he knows best: a mixture of jungle beats, house production and dubstep fixtures.
Wade In/Jels is out on 7” March 21st via Hotflush, or as O’Grady puts it, “the label of the year.”
