Nowadays Vanessa Paradis is more universally known as Johnny Depp's wife than as a chanteuse. I still remember watching the video for that song 'Joe Le Taxi' on TV when I was really really little. Anyhow, her fifth studio album 'Divineidylle' has just scored her another number one in France, and in my opinion, it is a quite good album - authentic, well-crafted French pop. I gave it a 3.25/5. The lead single, also the title track, is by far the most immediate on the album. It is fun, catchy, head-bopping, and contains those infectious 'doo doo doos'. Very nice, indeed.
